The Painterly Landscape Course is demonstrated using chalk-based soft pastels throughout all lessons and demonstrations.
That said, artists working in other mediums can absolutely benefit! Those who work in acrylic or oil with a direct "alla prima" brushwork style will find the lessons very relatable. The foundational design principles, color theory, and painterly techniques translate beautifully across mediums.
Note: Watercolor artists may find the techniques less directly applicable due to the transparent nature of that medium, and there's no specific color mixing guidance for oil painters since pastel works as a layering medium in stick form.
